Service Hours
All 8th graders are required to complete 30 hours total of service hours but are encouraged to do more!
10 hours are required to be completed EACH trimester. Which hours are completed does not matter for this requirement. This will count as a Religion grade each trimester.
At the end of the year each 8th grader must have the following
School/ Parish (max. 10 hours)- 20 hours required TOTAL
Ex. 15 School and 5 Parish OR you can have all 20 hours for School. You can not exceed 10 hours for Parish.
Community- 10 hours required
8th graders who go above and beyond these required hours will be honored at Graduation. Only logged hours will count.

These hours are up to the family, some things that have been done are:
Volunteering at convalescent homes, soup kitchens, the library, other schools, and neighborhood clean ups. Certain events done with the Scouts and Girl Scouts can count, please ask verify with Mrs. Sullivan OR Ms. Craughwell to see if these will count.
